On March 20, 2025, PT LESSO New Energy held a grand ceremony at its Jakarta office to celebrate the awarding of the SNI (Standar Nasional Indonesia) certification for its N-type high-efficiency photovoltaic modules. The event was jointly organized by PT LESSO New Energy, its Indonesian local partner PT. Qualis Indonesia, and the international testing agency Guangzhou U-Sai Testing Technology Services Co., Ltd. (UTS). Following the certification of its P-type photovoltaic modules, this recognition for the N-type modules further solidifies LESSO Solar’s compliance with Indonesia’s national standards, laying a strong foundation for expansion in the Southeast Asian market.

Deepening Localization: Dual Certifications Strengthen Market Presence

During the certification ceremony, representatives from PT. Qualis Indonesia, technical experts from UTS, and PT LESSO New Energy’s General Manager, Mr. Cai Jianfeng, were in attendance. Mr. Cai emphasized that while SNI certification is a fundamental requirement for the Indonesian market, the TKDN (Tingkat Komponen Dalam Negeri) certificate is a key indicator of local production. These two certifications complement each other—ensuring that products meet Indonesia’s national quality and safety standards while also enhancing local industry participation, aligning with the Indonesian government’s sustainability policies.

As a mandatory national standard, SNI certification assesses key aspects such as product performance, safety, and durability through a rigorous evaluation process. Successfully obtaining this certification confirms that LESSO Solar’s high-efficiency photovoltaic modules meet Indonesia’s stringent requirements for extreme environmental adaptability, electrical safety, and mechanical strength. Additionally, the previously obtained TKDN certificate demonstrates the company’s strong commitment to localization—by incorporating Indonesian raw materials, technology, and services, LESSO Solar not only reduces production costs but also supports local employment and industrial development, contributing to Indonesia’s renewable energy growth.

Innovation-Driven Global Strategy: Leading the Green Future

In recent years, the demand for photovoltaic solutions in Southeast Asia has surged, with customers placing greater emphasis on local production, after-sales service, and long-term reliability. PT LESSO New Energy, leveraging LESSO Solar’s global strategy, has been working closely with PT. Qualis Indonesia to expand distribution channels and facilitate project implementation. At the same time, the company collaborates with international certification bodies such as UTS to establish a comprehensive quality control system spanning research, production, testing, and certification, ensuring that every product meets both international and local market standards.
