LESSO Solar proudly announces a groundbreaking achievement: becoming the world’s first photovoltaic company to obtain the latest version of the Korean KS certification for its high-efficiency 210R N-type PV modules. This prestigious recognition marks a major leap forward for LESSO Solar in terms of product quality, technological innovation, and global market competitiveness.

Setting a New Benchmark with the Most Rigorous Standards

0411-1

Renowned as one of the most demanding certifications in the global solar industry, the new Korea Standards (KS) certification raises the bar across multiple dimensions, including reliability, durability, and environmental adaptability. LESSO Solar’s 210R N-type modules successfully passed a full suite of extreme tests over a 10-month evaluation period — including 2000-hour damp heat (85℃/85% RH), mechanical single corrective action required. The modules’ outstanding performance and exceptionally low degradation rate not only met but far exceeded the certification’s stringent benchmarks.

Industry-First Recognition Validates Technological Leadership

This achievement is especially noteworthy as no other company listed in BloombergNEF’s Tier 1 PV module manufacturers has yet secured this certification, highlighting LESSO Solar’s leadership in the N-type TOPCon technology route. Built on advanced 210R rectangular silicon wafer technology, the certified modules deliver:

Up to 620W output, providing superior energy generation
Bifaciality exceeding 80%, greatly improving energy capture
Enhanced system compatibility for diverse and complex power station applications
Optimal LCOE solutions for mountainous, coastal, and other challenging project sites in Korea
These features ensure long-term performance and help reduce operational costs, bringing greater value to customers.

Expanding into Northeast Asia’s Premium Solar Market

“The KS certification is more than just a market access requirement in Korea — it’s a trusted symbol of product excellence,” said the Head of Overseas Business at LESSO Solar. “This milestone demonstrates that our R&D and manufacturing systems now align with the highest global standards. We look forward to accelerating distributed PV projects in Busan, Incheon, and beyond, offering Korean customers more efficient and reliable renewable energy solutions.”

With South Korea aiming to raise its renewable energy share to 32% by 2030, LESSO Solar’s entry is poised to reshape the local solar industry and foster deeper cooperation between China and South Korea in the green energy sector.

Empowering the World with Chinese Innovation
